Human Resources Assistant

Our HR team plays a vital role in supporting our employees and fostering a positive workplace culture. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team and contribute to our people-focused initiatives to support the US team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Generalist or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR and operations teams.
- Assist with payroll functions including processing, benefit and tax deduction administration, leave administration, and answering employee questions.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, US team meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field with 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role (preferred).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices
